This summer I really enjoyed myself creating this commissioned painting.
This is called “Interceptor.” It is the name of the vehicle in the Mad Max movies. I happened to come across this vehicle in the parking lot at my studio in Garden City, Idaho. I was really blown away at the intricacies of this unique creation. As I observed and photographed the vehicle, I was approached by it’s creator.
Mark’s artistic creation is featured at car shows, he races it in an off road 500 mile adventure (Idaho Gambler 500 Casino Royale), and he takes it to an annual gathering called Wasteland Weekend. He goes in costume, which is really just Mark turned up to 11! I had fun painting my new friend and fellow artist.
